Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Behavior Plans: Execute individualized behavior intervention plans designed by Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), focusing on improving students' social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
- Support Daily Activities: Assist students with daily activities, including academic tasks, social interactions, and personal care, ensuring a supportive and structured environment.
- Collect and Analyze Data: Monitor and record student progress through data collection and analysis, providing insights to adjust behavior plans and strategies as needed.
- Provide Direct Support: Offer one-on-one or small group support to students, using evidence-based techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with BCBAs, teachers, and other school staff to implement effective strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
- Engage with Families: Communicate with parents and guardians about their childs progress, behavior plans, and strategies to reinforce learning and behavior goals at home.
- Promote Positive Behavior: Implement and encourage positive reinforcement techniques to support students in developing essential skills and achieving their behavioral goals.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; further education in psychology, special education, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience working with students with behavioral needs or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication, observational, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
- Approach: A patient, empathetic, and student-focused approach with a commitment to promoting positive behavior and academic success.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
