Duration: ASAP June 13
Hours: 20 hours/week
Hourly Rate: TBD

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Special Education Teacher to join our team in Lake Oswego, just 20 minutes from Oregon City. This role focuses on providing life skills instruction and case management for elementary students with special needs. You will work closely with a supportive onsite SPED team to ensure students' individual education plan (IEP) goals are met and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 6 students (with the potential for more).
  • Develop and implement IEPs, including setting goals and tracking student progress.
  • Provide direct instruction in life skills to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings with parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with additional SPED team members onsite to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

Caseload/Details:

  • Grade Level: Elementary
  • Caseload: Life skills instruction, case management, and IEP development for 6 students (subject to increase).
  • Additional Support: Onsite SPED team for collaboration and assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Special Education Certification/Endorsement required.
  • Experience with life skills instruction and IEP management preferred.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment:

  • Onsite position.
