Join Our Team as a Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Arlington, WA

Position: Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Location: Remote (Arlington, WA)
Pay: Competitive rate of $45-55+ per hour
Employment Type: W2, Weekly direct deposit

Job Description:
  • Hours: Full-time, 30-40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, with flexibility in scheduling

As a Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you will have the opportunity to support and empower students with visual impairments through innovative online instruction.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with visual impairments.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in virtual learning environments.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best educational outcomes for students.
  • Utilize assistive technology and online resources to enhance learning experiences for students with visual impairments.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to meet individual goals.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records related to student progress and IEP documentation.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in special education and visual impairment to provide high-quality instruction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Special Education, Visual Impairment, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Current Washington teaching license with endorsement in Visual Impairment or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience working with students with visual impairments is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues in a virtual setting.
