Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Virtual School Social Worker to join our team and support students in Oak Park, MI. This full-time, remote position involves helping students address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges to enhance their well-being and academic success in an online learning environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, tech-savvy, and skilled in engaging students and families virtually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual counseling and support to students through video calls, phone, and messaging platforms
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to each student's success
- Offer resources and referrals to external services as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow confidentiality guidelines
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) required
- Valid Michigan School Social Work license
- Experience in school social work, especially in virtual settings, preferred
- Strong communication and digital literacy skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
