Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable 2nd Shift Production Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the filler machine, ensuring all production processes meet customer specifications, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the filler machine to an acceptable standard of output and quality.
• Verify correct fill weight using the weigh-ups scale.
• Set up and tear down assigned equipment.
• Ensure production applications, including scoops, enclosures, lids, packing, desiccants, etc., are completed to customer specifications.
• Maintain inventory controls through proper documentation on all paperwork and inventory stock.
• Perform general sanitation of all packaging equipment to keep the work area pathogen-free.
• Complete all required documentation, record keeping, and reporting as required.
• Continually lift up to 60lbs throughout the shift.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production and forklift operation.
• Physical capability to lift up to 60lbs.
• Reliable with a great attitude.
• Good depth perception.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Well-organized.
• Basic computer operation skills.
• Experience in manufacturing and physical roles (such as construction).

Work Environment

You will work with dry dairy products and may be exposed to airborne particles, potentially toxic substances, and unpleasant odors. The role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and box cutters. The 2nd shift schedule is Monday to Thursday, 4pm to 2:30am, with potential shifts on Fridays from 4pm to 2:30am.
