Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Mold Operator

Job Description
  • Operate and start up heated molding presses to mold and cure products.
  • Spray inner surfaces of molds and mandrels with lubricant as required.
  • Assemble and pre-heat components and mandrels prior to inserting into the press when needed.
  • Mold switchgear diaphragms in accordance with SOPs.
  • Inspect each piece for cosmetic flaws and use light to inspect the interior of workpieces as needed.
  • Remove flash from mold and trim workpieces.
  • Maintain quality and production standards.
  • Run tandem operations when scheduled.
  • Make minor adjustments to presses such as pressure and temperature.
  • Follow job SOPs and complete and record production records.
  • Keep machine and work area clean.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret prints/work orders.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • GED/High School Diploma.
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
