Position Overview: The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing approximately 1,500 tax returns annually for over 350 entities, primarily trusts and partnerships. This role requires a skilled professional with extensive multi-state tax experience and a background in public accounting, with an emphasis on commercial real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Preparation & Compliance: Prepare and review multi-state tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws across 45 states.
• Trusts and Partnerships: Specialize in tax preparation for trusts and partnerships, contributing to approximately 1,500 returns annually.
• Multi-Entity Filings: Manage and file returns for 350+ entities in diverse property portfolios.
• Strategic Tax Planning: Provide tax strategies and guidance to optimize tax positions and enhance organizational efficiency.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting, finance, and property management teams to support organizational tax needs.

Qualifications:

• CPA Certification: Required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in public accounting, with a focus on commercial real estate preferred.
• Multi-State Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of multi-state tax regulations and experience managing multi-state tax filings.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with tax software and advanced Excel skills.
• Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex tax situations.
