Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our specialty pharmacy team in New York City. This full-time, temp-to-perm position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on high-volume medication dispensing. The ideal candidate will excel in supervising pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with professional standards, and managing medication distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute duties as assigned by the Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC).
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, students/interns, and support staff.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized professional policies and procedures.
  • Oversee all aspects of medication dispensing, including verifying prescription instructions and ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage high-volume prescription processing, with an emphasis on efficiency and precision.

Requirements:

  • Active NY State Pharmacist license with a clean history.
  • Previous experience in Retail, Mail Order, or Specialty Pharmacy settings is essential.
  • Proven experience handling a high volume of prescriptions (800+ per day).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain manual dexterity.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Sustained manual dexterity required for dispensing medications.
