Job Description:
Chestertown, Maryland, is seeking a mitted Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. This role entails providing speech and language services to students within our local school district.
Responsibilities:
- Perform prehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
- Create and implement personalized treatment plans to address students' munication needs.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to support students' speech and language development.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and fellow professionals to enhance students' academic and social progress.
- Monitor students' advancement and adjust therapy techniques as necessary to achieve optimal outes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records in accordance with state regulations.
- Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Possess a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- Hold an active license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Maryland.
- Obtain certification from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools or be eligible for certification.
- Possess a Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or be eligible to obtain it.
- Preferred experience working with students in educational settings.
- Strong munication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
