About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Grouse Mountain Lodge, part of the Pursuit Collection. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a team of culinary professionals in the preparation and presentation of Montana-inspired dishes
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menu concepts and specials
- Ensure ongoing quality assurance by monitoring food preparation methods and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create a positive and inclusive work environment
- Assist with administrative tasks such as ordering, inventory management, and scheduling
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Experience in a seasonal environment with diverse teams
- Current Serv-Safe certification or food handler sanitation certificate
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a geographically dispersed team and adapt to changing priorities
