Overview
Kraus-Anderson Incorporated's Project Engineer Internship program offers ambitious college students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in the real-world commercial construction environment.

The internship provides students interested in pursuing a career track in either a Project Manager or Superintendent an opportunity to learn the role.

As part of our team, you will be exposed to various duties and accomplish the following goals:
  • Develop an understanding of the responsibilities associated with the internship assignment.
  • Gain exposure to construction methods and terminology both in the field and in the office.
  • Assist in providing guidance to subcontractors in solving problems associated with projects.
  • Assist with production schedules and worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
  • Confer with subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and maintain records of project progress.
  • Evaluate safety-related documentation to ensure it is complete, detailed, and accurate; this includes site safety audits, toolbox talks, and jobsite orientations.
  • Collaborate with KA's Quality Assurance Team to address quality-related issues.
Job Description
Responsibilities include participating in estimating, bidding, and construction processes, interacting with various parties involved in a construction contract, achieving proficiency in understanding and interpreting plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and other construction documents, enhancing field experience on construction job sites, and demonstrating the ability to assemble and prepare technical documents common to the construction industry.

Requirements
Key qualifications include a minimum of 1 year education from an accredited college or university, strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, proficiency in standard business computer programs and other job-relevant software, excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work efficiently and provide leadership for project coordination. The estimated salary range is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum.
