Position Title: Interim Housing Program Manager
Department: HOPICS
Employment Status: Exempt, Full-time
Salary Range: $3,250 - $3,900 semi-monthly
Under the guidance of the Associate Director, the Interim Housing Program Manager is tasked with overseeing the daily operational management of the Lemon House shelter, a pivotal family housing initiative. This program consists of 40 non-congregate units designed to assist families experiencing homelessness in the designated service area.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the HOPICS Lemon House program, ensuring effective operation of 40 Family Crisis Housing units.
- Work towards achieving all contractual performance objectives and contribute to broader organizational goals.
- Provide ongoing crisis management and support.
- Supervise a team of three direct service staff, including two Case Managers and one Driver.
- Establish and maintain systems for regular file reviews to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure that the shelter meets all relevant standards set by local and state authorities.
- Coordinate food services, including ordering and distribution, while accommodating special dietary needs.
- Identify alternative housing resources for families in need within the service area.
- Facilitate internal coordination with other HOPICS programs.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
- Engage with program participants through regular house meetings.
- Review billing and documentation for accuracy and ensure timely processing of payments.
- Provide timely program reports to senior management.
- Maintain knowledge of homelessness definitions and related frameworks.
- Develop monitoring systems for program enrollments, referrals, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to enhance resources for program participants.
- Manage and update program information in digital platforms.
- Ensure high-quality client service and seamless operational processes.
- Participate in departmental leadership and management team activities.
- Monitor program performance and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Assist in the development of operational manuals and policies.
- Provide supervision and support to direct reports.
- Represent the organization in community meetings and events.
- Assist with audits and program evaluations.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of three years in management or supervisory roles within social services.
- Experience working with diverse populations and underserved communities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HMIS.
- Knowledge of community resources and services.
This position will directly supervise a team of case managers and support staff as needed.
Work EnvironmentThe role requires visiting various service locations and working in environments that may be noisy or busy.
Physical and Mental RequirementsThe incumbent must be able to perform various tasks including sitting, standing, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
