Procurement Specialist

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Amy's Kitchen. As a key member of our sourcing team, you will play a critical role in planning, ordering, and administering the procurement of raw materials to support the manufacturing of finished goods.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Develop and implement a strategy for procuring raw or pack materials to meet manufacturing requirements
• Engage with suppliers to focus on quality supply assurance and optimize the supply chain
• Collaborate with Material Planning to ensure material is released according to MRP requirements
• Maintain processes and procedures necessary to support planning and scheduling activities related to manufacturing
• Ensure all material is available to support delivery schedules and manufacturing objectives
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including managers, supervisors, and leads
• Provide support and assistance to receiving and inspection personnel in problem resolution
• Continuously monitor and upgrade supplier performance and maintain good supplier relations
• Other duties as assigned by the Sourcing Management Team
**Requirements**
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in purchasing, preferably in the food industry
• Technical level expertise in principles of procurement in a production environment
• At least 2 years of technical level expertise in principles of procurement in a production environment
• Technical level expertise in planning, negotiation, and contracting for materials
• Knowledge of organic growing practices and experience with quality control standards for organic field crops preferred
• Ability to organize and manage a large amount of data and experience in multitasking
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with senior management, growers, and processors
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
