Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Furniture Assembling Associate to join our team at Cardi's Furniture & Mattresses. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality products in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and prepare merchandise for delivery to customers' homes in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, quality, and productivity.
  • Read truck delivery reports and confirm merchandise was picked correctly, according to delivery paperwork.
  • Unbox and unwrap product, adhering to proper cutting techniques to ensure product is not damaged.
  • Examine merchandise for manufacturing defects and/or minor repairable damage, and report any issues to management.
  • Assemble merchandise for delivery, following all applicable manufacturer and company instructions.
  • Clean, dust, and clean inside drawers and Windex all glass and mirrors.
  • Place merchandise in appropriate cages as needed and assigned.
  • Maintain the order of delivery stops as indicated on delivery reports.
  • Remove and dispose of packing material in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders to delivery reports and picking labels.
  • Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
  • Basic proficiency in computer operating systems.
  • Certification of power-truck equipment.
Working Environment/Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a warehouse environment, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. The associate will continuously stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, grip, lift, pull, push, and reach above shoulder level throughout the work shift.

The associate will use regularly hands to finger, handle, or feel or use power tools; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The associate will lift/move objects up to 110 pounds, unassisted, and lift/move objects up to 150 pounds, assisted.

The associate will withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment and use specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The associate will use and operate standard warehouse equipment/machinery such as hand trucks, box cutters.
