Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist PRN to join our team at LifePoint Health. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and provides pharmaceutical care to patients, including reviewing and interpreting medication orders to identify potential or actual drug-related problems.
  • Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
  • Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry and checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
  • Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy - Required
  • Doctor of Pharmacy - Preferred
  • State of Tennessee Pharmacist licensure - Required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 90 days of hire, if not current upon hire.
