Associate Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Associate Systems Engineer to join our team at Symbotic. As a key member of our Customer Operations organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our robotic material handling system.

• Monitor the health of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and robotic vehicles to ensure seamless system operation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system and operational issues, providing clear and concise technical explanations to site teams and customers.
• Document and report issues to engineering teams, working collaboratively to develop solutions.
• Assist operators in maintaining overall system performance, including automated adapters, vertical lifts, robotic vehicles, warehouse management systems, and other IT-related issues.
• Provide backup support for key Symbotic on-site roles as needed.
• Collaborate with internal and external clients to resolve production-impacting problems.
• Participate in initiatives for continuous improvement, standardization, and enhancement of the warehouse automation solution.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Symbotic, and customer safety procedures and protocols.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or software engineering, computer science, or automation engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with automated systems.
• Proficiency in PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens), Robot (ABB), and software languages such as SQL, Linux, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with assembling, operating, and troubleshooting robotics and electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Desire to learn new equipment and assist team members as needed.
