Hutch Paving Incorporated is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on truck and trailer equipment, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with engines, transmissions, and other critical systems.
- Inspect and test vehicles to identify potential problems and ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment, including pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless maintenance operations and meet company goals.
- Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices to ensure our fleet is always running at peak performance.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred.
- Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components a plus.
- Proficiency in shop tools and basic computer skills required.
- CDL license not required but preferred.
