Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team of clinical professionals. As a Speech Therapist with Genesis Homecare, you will have the opportunity to work with patients in their homes, providing personalized therapy and support to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas of improvement and develop targeted treatment plans.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to patients in their homes, using a variety of techniques and strategies to promote communication, swallowing, and cognitive function.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes, using standardized assessment tools and reporting procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Speech Therapist in the state of employment.
  • Minimum one year of experience as a Speech Therapist in an acute care setting, with preference given to candidates with home health care experience.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move with ease, as well as work in a fast-paced environment.
