Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to participate in our residency program in acute care. As an LPN, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse in a clinical area, providing direct patient care to an assigned group of patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, in accordance with the philosophy, policies, and procedures of Northside Hospital.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Work under the direction of the Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Must possess a verified nursing degree from an accredited School of Nursing within 120 days of the residency start date, and must be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam or have already received a passing score.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- Must meet all Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) personnel qualifications and responsibilities requirements for individuals prior to directing and/or performing non-waived point of care testing as stated in 42 CFR, Part 493, Subpart M.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in specialty area.
