Maintenance Technician

At Michael Foods Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Lenox, Iowa. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the building and grounds of our facility, ensuring that all systems are operational and functioning properly.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and mechanical skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, such as snow removal, emergency lighting checks, and repairs to buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the building and grounds of the facility, including snow removal and emergency lighting checks
• Perform repairs to buildings and equipment, including concrete work, tile, carpentry, painting, and pipe insulating
• Operate and maintain construction equipment, including hand tools and power tools
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adhere to safety regulations and company policies
• Work effectively with others to complete work assignments

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a food processing facility
• Strong background in construction and mechanical skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver's license required
