Join the State of South Dakota as a Medical Laboratory Technician - Clinical Microbiologist and contribute to the advancement of public health microbiology testing. As a key member of the medical microbiology team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing, data analysis, and client relations in a high-complexity environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform bacteriological, virological, serological, and parasitological tests and analyses
  • Follow specific testing procedures and maintain a clean and organized testing environment
  • Work safely with dangerous and contagious materials and specimens
  • Operate scientific equipment and perform quality assurance
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Requirements:
  • MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent is desired
  • Associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology per 42 CFR 493.1489
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology
