Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist II will be responsible for performing electrical installation and repair tasks, as well as general maintenance and repair in a manufacturing environment. This is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical installation and repair tasks, including installing and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and devices.
  • Conduct general maintenance and repair tasks, including performing routine maintenance on equipment and facilities.
  • Assist skilled craftsmen with electrical installation and repair tasks, including measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing electrical conduit, fabricating supports, installing cable and duct banks, and making terminations.
  • Work with high and low voltage systems, including interpreting drawings, sketches, plans, and determining best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical problems.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards, including adhering to company policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent related experience is required.
  • Must have 1+ years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Must have training and experience in basic electrical installation.
  • Previous experience with and knowledge about the use of power tools, including grinders, sanders, and drills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with technical accuracy.
  • Basic level of computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Word and Outlook is required.
  • Ability to work well independently with limited supervision.
  • Must possess a positive and professional customer service philosophy.
  • Analytical thinking is required.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift 50 lbs. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms as well as have the ability to stand for extended periods of time and for the duration of the shift.
