Neurorehabilitation Specialist

Lakeview NeuroRehabilitation is seeking a skilled Neurorehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a Community Integration Coordinator, you will play a vital role in assisting and treating program participants at our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing assistance and treatment to program participants
• Ensuring active participation in the rehabilitation program
• Participating as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team
• Providing education, assistance, supervision, safety, and behavior management for the program participant population

Key Responsibilities:

• Functioning as a therapeutic agent by demonstrating teaching, reinforcing, anticipating, interacting, and noticing program participant behavior
• Tending to the program participant's immediate needs for safety and performing all aspects of participant care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
• Providing treatment in accordance with unit and facility policies through active participation with residents during activities, ADL's, school, work, meals, groups, etc.
• Displaying age-appropriate interaction skills and actively participating in exchange of information

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of the sequela of brain injury and other neurological disorders
• Knowledge of physical, cognitive, psychological, emotional, and/or communication disabilities
• First Aid course, Standard Precautions, CPR certified

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in the area of Social Services
• Certified as CNA if CNA
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
