Job Overview

CareGivers is seeking a reliable and caring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide part-time, intermittent care for a pediatric home care client in Elmira, NY. As an LPN with CareGivers, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients and their families.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide client health care services under the direction of a registered nurse, including preventive, supportive, and rehabilitative activities in accordance with the Plan of Care and the Plan of Treatment.
  • Observe, record, and report changes in the client's condition and responses to treatment.
  • Prepare and submit timely documentation as required by CareGivers policy, and participate in case conferences and in-service education programs as requested.
Requirements
  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice in New York State, with at least six months experience as an LPN or RN and/or competent in knowledge and skills based on successful completion of the pre-employment nursing test and demonstration of skills.
  • Must be competent in all skills required on assignment following case orientation and on-the-job training.
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required.
  • Must be able to provide a reliable means of transportation and may be required to possess a valid driver's license.
