L3Harris is seeking a skilled Software Development Specialist to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. As a key member of our SDA radar systems team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications for large-scale operational systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in the full software development lifecycle. This is an onsite position that requires a Secret Security Clearance.

Essential Functions:
Design, develop, and test software applications for large-scale operational systems.

Develop automated tests for deploying software through release pipeline.

Implement containerization and orchestration technologies on existing software projects.

Works under general supervision and may be responsible for entire projects or processes within team.


Communicates with contacts within and outside of own department and may occasionally have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization.

Up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with at least 4 years of software development experience or graduate degree with at least 2 years of software development experience.

In lieu of degree, 8 years of software experience.

Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.

Experience developing object-oriented software using Java in Spring Boot framework.

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes or Openshift).

Experience developing and deploying software using a CI/CD pipeline.

Experience with Linux or UNIX operating systems.

Experience with Agile software development and the software development lifecycle.

Experience utilizing Atlassian tool suite (Confluence, Jira, BitBucket).

Preferred Additional Skills:
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with DevSecOps and developing CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with SDA Radars.

Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation).

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $78,000 - $145,000.

This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.

The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
