Position Overview: The primary and most crucial responsibility of each team member is to either directly (through interaction) or indirectly (by providing essential support to enhance guest experiences) strive to deliver exceptional service and high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft both classic and innovative cocktails.
- Handle payment transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of glassware and bar tools.
- Offer recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Accurately record and reconcile cash receipts, preparing deposits as needed.
- Manage tabs for guests throughout their visit.
- Foster relationships with regular patrons to cultivate a welcoming environment.
- Prepare and serve beverages with care.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal alcohol regulations, including verifying customer identification.
- Monitor and enforce alcohol service cut-off policies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating a cash register and managing financial transactions.
- Ensure proper stocking and rotation of alcoholic beverages.
- Possess knowledge of the food menu to assist guests with inquiries.
- Execute daily opening and closing tasks as assigned.
- Assist guests courteously and promptly.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy bar and dining area.
- Engage with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Uphold a professional atmosphere at all times.
- Maintain a neat appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
- Have a basic understanding of all resort departments.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
Pre-Employment Requirements: Reference checks, verification of employment history.
Education and Experience:
- Certification in TIPS, TAMS, or ServeSafe is preferred; ABC Training Certificate must be obtained within 8 months of hire.
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must acquire an Idaho food handler's permit within 2 weeks of employment.
- Understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
- Expertise in mixology for both traditional and creative cocktails.
- Knowledge of unique flavor combinations.
- Exceptional customer service and social awareness.
- Ability to assess customer satisfaction and respond accordingly.
- Capability to enforce company policies regarding alcohol consumption.
- Accountability in managing inventory and processing payments.
- Physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- TIPS, TAMS, or ServeSafe certification; Idaho food handler permit.
