Job Summary

T & M Hardware & Rental is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and efficient sales floor, and assisting customers with their shopping needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers, answering their questions, and helping them find merchandise.
  • Sales Floor Maintenance: Maintain a clean and orderly sales floor, including housekeeping tasks, to create an inviting environment for customers.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a working knowledge of the products contained in the store and be able to suggest add-on sales to customers.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with taking regular inventory of stock and restocking shelves as necessary.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with store staff to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Skills: Possess outstanding customer service skills and a professional attitude.
  • Product Knowledge: Have a working knowledge of the products contained in the store and be willing to continue to learn.
  • Organizational Skills: Be organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 80 lbs and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Goals and Objectives
  • Boost Sales: Boost overall sales by closing the sale and promoting the store's loyalty program and add-on sales.
  • Product Knowledge: Continually expand knowledge of all departments in the store and become a versatile employee able to help in other areas when needed.
  • Mentorship: Take a personal interest in products sold in the store and gain the knowledge to make new products and merchandising recommendations to management.
