Role Summary
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be integral to delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care in alignment with departmental standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds and airway integrity.
- Perform diagnostic tests to determine the necessity and effectiveness of respiratory therapies.
- Administer various respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy and aerosol medications.
- Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and take appropriate actions as necessary.
- Support the safe transportation of patients requiring ventilatory assistance.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring airway security and proper ventilation.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within the first month of employment.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) credentials.
- Associate Degree or completion of a vocational program in respiratory care.
