Role Summary:

Hartford Healthcare's Hartford Hospital is actively seeking a per diem Physician Assistant to become an integral part of our vascular surgery department. The selected candidate will be responsible for comprehensive patient management, crisis intervention, and daily patient assessments throughout the hospital. Responsibilities will also include pre-operative and post-operative care, assisting in surgical procedures as necessary, and facilitating patient discharges.

Collaboration:

The Physician Assistant will work closely with Vascular Surgery Attending Physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine physical examinations and develop treatment plans.
  • Assess new consultations and collaborate with the healthcare team for further evaluations.
  • Provide treatment within the scope of practice and refer patients to physicians when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligibility)
