Join Our Team as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor

We are seeking a part-time Breastfeeding Peer Counselor to work in our WIC Program. As a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor, you will provide basic breastfeeding information and support to clients, helping them prevent and handle common breastfeeding problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide breastfeeding information and support to clients
  • Help clients prevent and handle common breastfeeding problems
  • Work independently or in conjunction with other staff
  • Communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals
Requirements:
  • Previous breastfeeding experience required
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Local travel within the region required
Clearances and Background Checks:
  • PA State Police Criminal Record Check (PATCH)
  • FBI Criminal Record Check, from fingerprinting
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance (PACA)
