At Heartly House, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Counselor to join our team. As a Child Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing individual and group counseling sessions to children who have experienced trauma.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide weekly individual and group counseling sessions to children who have experienced trauma
  • Build and maintain relationships with Frederick County Public School personnel to support client needs
  • Participate in clinical review of cases and present cases for review during team meetings
  • Develop and implement counseling services to meet the needs of clients
  • Ensure client records are up-to-date, complete, and accurately filed
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect client rights
  • Understand and commit to the mission, values, and philosophy of Heartly House
Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or PhD in Clinical Psychology with Maryland licensure in good standing
  • English and Spanish fluency is preferred, but not required
  • Preferred minimum of two years experience working therapeutically with children and families
  • Strong clinical background and skills, including individual and group facilitation skills
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively use computers, including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and database software

  • Competitive salary: $57,931 - $66,212 per year, plus benefits
