Job Description

Are you a skilled Speech Therapist seeking a challenging career opportunity in a dynamic healthcare environment? We are currently seeking a PRN Speech Therapist to join our Avante at Leesburg team.

About the Role:

  • Provide and direct Speech-Language Pathologist services to residents, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication.
  • Function under physicians' orders and adhere to established confidentiality standards.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to attain goals in accordance with physician orders.
  • Monitor residents' response to intervention and modify treatment as indicated.
  • Provide clinical information in a timely manner concerning safety and functional needs for discharge.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine the need for intervention/treatment.
  • Evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
  • Develop and implement home or community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of residents in their own environment.
  • Assist with and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement program as directed.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Successful completion of National Certification Examination for S.L.P.
  • Current state licensure or license eligible.
  • 0-3 years of long-term care experience.
