Perinatal Sonographer Senior

Nemours is seeking a highly skilled Senior Perinatal Sonographer to join our team in Orlando, Florida.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality ultrasound services for interpretation and diagnosis by a maternal-fetal medicine physician. As a mentor and resource, they will assist medical students, residents, fellows, and sonographers in performing high-quality fetal ultrasound scans and echocardiograms, as well as developing other clinical and administrative skills necessary for their roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate advanced ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic echocardiograms, utilizing correct parameters based on patient age and diagnosis.
- Demonstrate proficiency in at least one additional advanced form of imaging, such as 3D imaging and rendering, fetal cardiac imaging, or Doppler and color Doppler.
- Efficiently and effectively perform pre-work by searching for relevant information related to prior studies.
- Communicate effectively with ordering and/or interpreting physicians, as well as with patients and families.
- Measure and calculate various parameters, including M-mode, 2D, 3D, Doppler, and color Doppler flow patterns.
- Analyze images and annotate them correctly in the PACS system.
- Act as a mentor and resource for students, sonographers, and fellows in clinical situations.
- Assist with administrative duties, including scheduling, research, and quality performance.
- Participate in research studies as requested.
- Consistently demonstrate proficiency in competencies for this position.
- Assist with workflow and PACS system management in partner hospital systems.
- Exhibit professional conduct at all times, including behavior and appearance.
- Travel to satellite locations as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between the Manager and perinatal sonographers as requested.
Requirements:
- Associates' Degree required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience required.
- ARDMS and Fetal Echo certifications required.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
