Job Overview

Are you passionate about mechanics and enjoy working in a dynamic environment? K1 Speed Inc, a leader in indoor electric karting, is seeking a dedicated Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our advanced fleet of electric go-karts, ensuring they operate at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial inspections and repairs on karts before they hit the track.
  • Monitor and enhance kart performance throughout operational hours.
  • Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the track and facility.
  • Document repairs, manage parts inventory, and oversee special projects.
  • Safeguard tools and machinery, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Address emergency situations promptly and effectively.
  • Keep the pit, kart shop, and track areas clean and organized.
  • Support track operations as needed.
  • Perform assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks as directed by management.
  • Complete end-of-day procedures to secure the facility for the next day.
  • Analyze problems, gather data, and draw logical conclusions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 months of relevant experience or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Successful completion of a Drug Test and Background Check is mandatory.
  • Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States is required.
  • Availability to work on weekends is essential.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for more than two-thirds of the time.
  • Walking for over two-thirds of the time.
  • Lifting may be necessary.
