Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $64,000 to $106,763.83.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of personnel responsible for the maintenance and repair of all plant machinery.
  • Schedule maintenance staff according to production needs and project timelines.
  • Ensure the accuracy of inventory in the parts storeroom.
  • Implement and uphold company policies regarding safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.).
  • Direct repair activities on machinery related to canning operations.
  • Communicate company policies to staff and enforce safety regulations.
  • Facilitate safety training programs with regular meetings for maintenance personnel.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to synchronize departmental activities.
  • Plan and supervise work to ensure equipment readiness for production demands.
  • Manage daily scheduling of maintenance staff.
  • Order necessary parts for equipment upkeep.
  • Propose improvements in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance crew efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards for finished products.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Del Monte Foods Quality Systems to meet quality and safety requirements.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of maintenance experience in a packaging or warehouse setting is highly preferred.
  • Relevant supervisory experience in cross-functional maintenance departments.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience is advantageous.
