Job Summary

Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is seeking an experienced Turnaround Scheduler to join our team for a 6-month contract assignment. As a key member of our turnaround team, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and progressing integrated turnaround schedules for all turnarounds associated with this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Turnaround Schedule Development: Develop, optimize, and manage turnaround schedules using Primavera, ensuring timely and efficient completion of projects.
  • Turnaround Work Order Management: Receive and review turnaround work orders for administrative completeness, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Integrated Schedule Implementation: Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to implement an integrated schedule, ensuring seamless execution and minimal production impact.
  • Critical Path Analysis: Apply critical path analysis to compress turnaround schedules, minimizing production downtime and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Resource Leveling: Apply resource leveling to optimize manpower needs for turnarounds, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing costs.
  • Technical Stewardship: Serve as the technical steward for the Site Turnaround Web Page, ensuring accurate and timely updates on schedule and resource information.
  • Resource Requirements Definition: Define and optimize resource requirements for turnarounds, ensuring accurate and efficient allocation of resources.
  • Reporting and Stakeholder Updates: Provide regular updates to the GTM team, clients, and other stakeholders on turnaround progress, using various reporting tools.
  • Scheduling Performance Monitoring: Monitor and review GTM scheduling performance measures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Construction Contractor Schedule Validation: Validate all Construction Contractors' resource-loaded schedules, retaining variance analyses for future reference.
  • Staffing Density Checks: Perform staffing density checks or staffing limitation checks to validate schedule durations, ensuring accurate and efficient resource allocation.
  • Multi-Tasking and Collaboration: Demonstrate ability to multi-task, working on several projects/activities/demands concurrently, and collaborate with Engineering, General Mechanical, and I&E contractors.
  • Earned Value Reporting: Validate and report earned value physical progression based on the Rules of Credits, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Cost Management Alignment: Work with cost management to gain alignment on forecasting schedule completion dates, ensuring accurate and efficient resource allocation.
  • Weekly Reporting and Interface: Provide weekly reporting and interface with Project Design Teams, contractors, and project management, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Critical Resource and Schedule Issue Identification: Identify critical resource and schedule issues, recommending corrective actions to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Ongoing Schedule Analysis: Perform ongoing schedule analyses, critical path analyses, earned value analyses, risk analyses, and reporting, evaluating and recommending schedule improvement opportunities.
  • Scheduling Software Knowledge: Understand other scheduling software used by outside contractors, including Microsoft Project, Fast-Track, etc.
  • Change Order Process Knowledge: Understand and apply the change order process (PDN/FCO) in documenting and reporting changes, ensuring accurate and efficient project execution.
  • Quality Control Knowledge: Recognize Quality Control of Engineering/Construction packages, identifying activities and ensuring accurate and efficient project execution.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum High School diploma or GED required.
  • Primavera Proficiency: Proficiency within Primavera (P6) required.
  • Prior Dow Experience: Prior Dow experience preferred.
  • Scheduling Experience: Requires thorough knowledge of scheduling best practices, principles, and techniques acquired during a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in the Planning/Scheduling discipline.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including problem-solving skills, ability to identify and resolve problems with appropriate resources.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiency in Excel.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels.
  • Overtime Requirements: Overtime will be required during turnarounds to manage progress and report schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP Management Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of SAP management systems preferred.
  • Engineering Scheduling Experience: Engineering scheduling experience is a strong plus.
  • Maintenance Facility Scheduling Experience: Prior scheduling experience in a maintenance facility is a strong plus.
