Job Summary

At MUSC, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our Intensive Care Unit team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level, utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective care to patients, interacting with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results.
  • Work under general supervision, providing individualized patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, either from the American Heart Association (AHA) or an AHA-recognized equivalent.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification for most nursing areas within the hospital.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Ability to climb stairs, work indoors, and work outside in temperature extremes.
  • Ability to work in confined/cramped spaces, perform gross motor functions, and maintain good olfactory sensory function.
