Pediatric and Intensive Care Unit Nurse Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Pediatric and Intensive Care Unit team at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Pediatric and Intensive Care Unit team, ensuring that all staff members are equipped to provide exceptional patient care.
- Patient Care: Collaborate with the nursing director to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Staff Development: Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring to staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality patient care.
- Quality Improvement: Work with the quality improvement team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance patient care and safety.
- Communication: Foster open and effective communication among team members, patients, and families to ensure that everyone is informed and engaged in the care process.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a leadership role in a pediatric or intensive care unit.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
