Job Summary: The Lead Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in delivering financial and accounting support for the Wright Family of Companies.

  • Document, categorize, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Gather and assess financial data to record transactions, generate reports, and verify accuracy.
  • Supervise the general ledger reconciliation process to ensure precise financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of municipal and state tax filings on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries and reports.
  • Conduct intercompany and bank account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Oversee the Credit Card Program for cardholders.
  • Prepare and organize documentation for audit purposes.
  • Investigate accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Compile month-end financial statement reports.
  • Maintain and update Accounts Payable workflows and standard operating procedures as necessary.
  • Assist with treasury management tasks as required.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by the Assistant Controller, Division Controller, and/or Corporate Controller.
  • Provide accounting and finance support across various companies within the Wright Service Corp family.
  • Actively engage in and uphold Wright's culture of safety and employee ownership.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, including managing a team of direct reports.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements is preferred.
  • Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial software applications.
  • Commitment to performing responsibilities with high professional and ethical standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong references are required.
Education, Certification & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 4+ years of combined accounting and finance experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Experience in Public Accounting or financial statement audits is preferred.
Language Proficiency:
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Physical Requirements:

This position may involve physical demands such as:
  • Occasionally lifting/carrying less than 10 lbs.
  • Occasionally reaching upward and downward.
  • Frequently sitting, talking, using a keyboard, and having near vision acuity.
  • Occasionally standing, walking, and having far vision acuity.
  • Sedentary work.
