About the Role:

Munitions Systems specialists in the Air Force are responsible for managing nonnuclear munitions processes, which includes storing, assembling, accounting for, and transporting weapons systems. This is a challenging role that requires attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and security.

The Air Force relies on skilled professionals like you to ensure the safe and effective operation of its vast arsenal. As a Munitions Systems specialist, you will play a critical part in maintaining the military's readiness and capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Storing and assembling weapons systems
  • Accounting for and tracking inventory
  • Transporting and delivering equipment
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation

To be successful in this role, you will need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You must also possess a high level of physical fitness and be willing to undergo rigorous training.

Education and Qualifications:

  • High school students may start their application as early as the end of their junior year
  • A minimum AFQT Test score of 65 or higher on the ASVAB
  • 60 Mechanical (M) or 57 Electronics (E)

Additional Requirements:

  • No record of untreated emotional instability or domestic violence
  • Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit
  • 5 weeks of Basic Military Training
