Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all BIM Modeling activities utilizing REVIT.
  • Convert 2D blueprints and specifications into comprehensive 3D/4D models.
  • Generate precise prefabrication drawings in alignment with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical design documents, adhering to industry standards.
  • Maintain an organized project BIM execution strategy.
  • Analyze design specifications, criteria, and electrical guidelines.
  • Possess knowledge of general electrical codes relevant to design and methodologies.
  • Stay informed about current construction processes.
  • Adjust engineered plans to produce clear Field drawings.
  • Update project plans post-completion to create Record drawings.
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements pertinent to this role.
  • Facilitate open communication of non-confidential information across all departments.
  • Regularly update your supervisor on project progress, activities, challenges, solutions, and any unusual occurrences.
  • Participate in meetings as necessary.
  • Promptly inform your supervisor of any significant delays in project timelines, including encountered issues and anticipated completion times.
  • Ensure all confidential information remains secure and is only shared with those who have a legitimate need to know.
  • Collaborate effectively with all team members.
  • Propose improvements to your supervisor that could enhance any aspect of the firm.
  • Complete, submit, and maintain required records and reports.
  • Stay updated on technological changes by reviewing industry publications and recommend new materials, products, tools, equipment, and processes to your supervisor when applicable.
  • All decision-making should prioritize the best interests of APG Electric, Inc. over personal gain.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor or undertake responsibilities not explicitly outlined but logically associated with the role of Virtual Design Technician.
