Transportation Specialist

This position involves providing safe transportation and assistance to Tribal Elders for medical appointments and other destinations as needed by the Senior Support Network.

The Transportation Specialist will be responsible for transporting Tribal Elders to and from medical appointments or other destinations, providing assistance as needed, and documenting mileage and client signatures on Transport Logs.

• Provide safe and reliable transportation to Tribal Elders for medical appointments and other destinations
• Assist Tribal Elders with their assistive devices or paperwork at medical appointments
• Document all mileage, addresses, and client signatures on Transport Logs
• Promptly report any problems encountered to the SSN Supervisor

The Transportation Specialist will work in a variety of environments, including medical offices, hospitals, homes, and other locations. They will also be required to operate vehicles for daily work functions.

• Certified or willing to be certified as CHR upon request within one year of employment
• Certified in Basic Life Support (CPR) or becomes certified within 3 months of employment
• Valid driver's license and driving record that allows access to CPN vehicles for daily work function
• Computer skills required for documentation in the patient record
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Good communication and written skills
• Ability to work a varying schedule as needed

The estimated salary for this position is between $9.00 and $16.00 per hour, based on location and experience.
