Key Responsibilities (examples of tasks you may undertake):

As a Senior Security Compliance Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting verification and validation for security compliance of low to moderately complex information systems, products, and components. Your duties will include analyzing design specifications, documentation, configuration practices, and operational procedures. You will identify instances of non-compliance with security requirements and propose potential mitigations for those that do not meet compliance standards. Additionally, you will conduct on-site evaluations, validate security requirements, and ensure that systems meet these requirements. You will perform vulnerability assessments, coordinate penetration testing, and generate comprehensive verification and validation reports (certification reports) for the information systems. You will also provide recommendations for process improvements and draft standards and guidelines for usage.

Qualifications Required:

  • TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • IAT Level III or IAM Level III Certification is mandatory
  • Experience in analyzing design specifications, documentation, configuration practices, and operational procedures
  • Ability to conduct on-site evaluations
  • Experience in verification and validation for security compliance of low to moderately complex information systems, products, and components
  • Capability to identify non-compliance with security requirements and suggest mitigations
  • Experience in validating security requirements of information systems
  • Proficiency in verifying and validating that systems meet security requirements
  • Experience in conducting vulnerability assessments, coordinating penetration testing, and producing comprehensive verification and validation reports
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in security, systems engineering, or system assessment, including recent experience in five (5) or more of the following areas: Cybersecurity principles and technology, including access/control, authorization, identification and authentication, PKI, network and enterprise security architecture
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to ten (10) years. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional four (4) years of security or system engineering experience may be accepted.
