Job Title: Gastroenterology Physician

International SOS Government Medical Services is seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology Physician to join our team. As a Gastroenterology Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive gastroenterology care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive clinical gastroenterology services, including diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterology diseases and surgical procedures.
  • Perform endoscopic procedures, such as EGD, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound, and ERCPs.
  • Provide consultative services at patients' bedsides and in clinics.
  • Manage medications and provide discharge education and follow-up instructions.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to patient care and facility organization.
Requirements:
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license in one or more states, commonwealth, territory, or DC.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent.
  • DEA License.
  • A minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience, preferably in GI specialty.
  • Previous VA or Military experience is strongly preferred but not required.
Education:
  • Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent required.
  • Accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association, Association of American Medical Colleges, Liaison Committee on Medical Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Physical Requirements:
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/clinic work environment.
  • May require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
  • Must be local or relocate to project site for the duration of the contract.
  • Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance and pass VHA credentialing process.
  • Able to provide references.
