Job Summary:
The Mechanic 1st Class is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the upkeep and repair of a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty machinery, on-road tractors, and trailers sourced from various manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electronic systems, and engines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure all vehicles are in good working condition.
- Operate standard and manual transmission vehicles, as well as power and pneumatic tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
Requirements:
- Class D driver's license preferred and willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, up to 5 days per week.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and occasionally outdoors.
- Must possess the required hand tools to perform the applicable job assignment.
- Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders and stairs, stand, walk, and turn/pivot frequently throughout the workday.
Compensation and Benefits:
The starting pay for this position is $33.55 per hour. Hired applicants are eligible for weekly pay, extensive training, 401(K), defined-benefit pension plan, medical-dental and vision after waiting and or probation period, $0 healthcare premium, paid vacation, paid sick and family and medical leave time as required by law, paid holidays, discounted employee stock purchase program.
