We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist I to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will assist physicians in delivering safe and effective patient care during cardiac catheterization procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians in circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing for diagnostic, interventional, and structured heart procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- Perform quality control checks on equipment and escalate any issues as needed.
- Respond to on-call situations and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to produce optimal results and outcomes.
- Prepare for cardiac cath procedures by ensuring appropriate paperwork, equipment, supplies, and instruments are available.
- Monitor patients and document pre-intra-post procedure information, including hemodynamics, supplies, medications, defibrillation, and administering oxygen.
- Technical Diploma or Accredited Cardiovascular and/or Respiratory Care program or Radiologic Technologist Program Graduate.
- Successful completion of ACLS course for Healthcare providers within six months of employment.
- Strong communication, detail orientation, customer service, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to effectively operate Hemodynamic monitoring systems used in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Basic computer skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
- Experience in didactic cardiac catheterization lab.
