As a full-time Chemistry Instructor within the College of Natural Sciences, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journeys of GCU students. Our college emphasizes hands-on, project-based learning, fostering innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. We offer programs in various fields, including Biology, Forensic Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Chemistry, and Exercise Science.

In this role, you will typically instruct 4-5 undergraduate courses each term, while also providing support and services to both the College and the University. This is a permanent position with a standard 9-month contract, complemented by potential summer teaching opportunities. You will be responsible for teaching Introductory and General Chemistry, with the possibility of covering advanced topics such as Organic, Physical, Analytical, Inorganic, Environmental, Pharmacology, and Biochemistry. Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering courses within the Chemistry discipline.
• Providing academic support to students beyond classroom hours.

• Engaging in curriculum design and development.
• Actively supporting the mission and initiatives of the college/university.
• Participating in college and/or university committees.
• Assisting in the cultivation of internal and external communities that promote the Chemistry program and the University.
• Offering guidance to adjunct faculty members.
• Engaging in professional development activities.
• Adhering to all college and university policies.

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field.
• At least one year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
• Familiarity with web-enhanced instructional tools such as Angel, Blackboard, Loudcloud, or Halo.
• Ability to convey a clear understanding of values-based education from a Christian perspective.
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork, self-motivation, integrity, and a commitment to high professional standards.
