About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital's MICU. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care by incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care and the nursing process.
  • Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills to manage patient care effectively.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
  • Prioritize patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care, delegating to others as appropriate.
  • Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.
  • Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing, demonstrating effective allocation of material resources.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing program.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) with matriculation in a BSN program.
  • Relevant clinical competence in the area of nursing practice assigned.
  • Current registration in New York State as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Saver (BLS) certification.
  • Additional certifications as required by the department or unit.
