Position Summary

We are currently looking for a Material Handler to join our manufacturing facility in Louisville. The Material Handler will play a crucial role in organizing storage areas and managing inventory effectively. Key responsibilities include transporting pallets from the finished goods conveyor to designated storage locations, relocating materials to maintain order, and fulfilling primarily full pallet orders from storage. This role involves operating a stand-up reach truck, as well as loading and unloading trucks using a sit-down forklift and moving raw materials with a sit-down clamp truck.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality of materials.
  • Handle loading and unloading of pallets and rolls.
  • Efficiently organize stock utilizing reach trucks, forklifts, and clamp trucks.
  • Utilize a handheld RF scanner to track all material movements.
  • Prepare and stage materials to fulfill orders accurately.
  • Wrap orders and position them on trucks for delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend new storage solutions as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing setting in a similar capacity.
  • At least two years of experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and deep reach trucks.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning technology.
