We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasonographer - Registry to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a comprehensive array of sophisticated non-invasive procedures, demonstrating the appropriate anatomy of interest.
Key Responsibilities- Independently provides complete and accurate images for diagnostic purposes.
- Documents patient history and communicates "Wet Read" reports to physician offices.
- Ensures a secure and safe patient and work environment by maintaining a continued awareness of safety hazard labels.
- Complies with procedural standards in the care of our patient population.
- Provides technical support for smooth and efficient operation of the Ultrasound Department.
- Graduate of AMA-approved School of Ultrasound.
- Registered or Registry Eligible.
- Excellent skills in performing abdomen, some OB/GYNE, some vascular, and Small Parts ultrasound exams.
- Excellent knowledge in pathology in the named above.
This position requires good judgment, responsibility, reliability, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will also need to be flexible in working hours and on-call rotation, with good people skills and patient care skills.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.
